FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – Gov. Andy Beshear unveiled a report Friday by the Council on Postsecondary Education examining the present-day economic position of Kentucky Point out College.

In July, immediately after associates of the KSU Board of Regents and CPE voiced considerations about the university’s economical position, Gov. Beshear requested and approved the evaluation from CPE.
“When I listened to about KSU’s economical problem, I requested for a full, unbiased and transparent accounting of the university’s finances, and currently we are releasing the results of that assessment,” stated Gov. Beshear. “We are committed to KSU and, as one particular of two Traditionally Black Schools and Universities in Kentucky, KSU will have to be set on a path to security so it is able to go on supplying a large-good quality education and learning for generations to appear.”
The report by CPE highlights very poor money administration by college leadership in current a long time that resulted in considerable operating deficits. The evaluation also notes that KSU’s productiveness has declined when compared with peer establishments.
