Cheboygan County Crisis Management declared Thursday that they have opened shelters for families influenced by the critical temperature via Cheboygan County.
They say anyone who has been afflicted is welcome to come to the nearest shelter in the local community, and the shelters will remain open up right until energy is restored.
In accordance to the Mackinaw City Law enforcement Office, Mackinaw City Educational facilities will be open as a warming facility only if necessary.
Officers say any one coming to the shelter must convey essential merchandise for just about every member of the spouse and children, which include:
- Prescriptions and unexpected emergency medications
- Food and h2o
- More apparel, pillows, blankets, and other convenience items
- Provides required for children, infants these as diapers, formulation and limited toys
- Collapsible/folding chair or cot

- Tranquil video games, publications, participating in cards or other entertainment
